Capture material that can be found again
MyMemo brings several kinds of saved content into one library instead of leaving an article in bookmarks, a screenshot on a phone and a document in another folder. The Chrome extension and mobile sharing routes support capturing information while encountering it.
Keep original sources and personal notes together. Check their processing state before relying on them in a summary or search.
Collections and questions grounded in saved sources
Collections organize memos around a project or topic. The homepage describes AI chat scoped to the active collection, while answers link back to relevant saved material. This helps distinguish a question about one research project from a general search across an entire personal library.
A useful request names the decision or comparison needed. A team could ask which saved customer observations concern onboarding and request the supporting memos. Opening the original sources remains necessary when an answer combines several documents or leaves out a detail.
The FAQ distinguishes a file waiting for AI processing from one marked Failed. Scanned or image-heavy PDFs can take longer because text extraction is another step. A visible memo card does not always mean every part of the underlying file is ready for analysis.
MemoCast changes the review format
MemoCast turns saved information into a short audio presentation. Manual generation can use a memo or collection, while the review workflow can revisit recently saved content on a selected schedule. It is a way to return to reading material during a walk or commute.
Audio summarization is a condensed representation, not a recording of the complete original source. Use it to refresh the main ideas, returning to the source for exact wording and qualifications.
Current pricing lists manual MemoCast allowances separately from chat messages and uploads. An older feature page still describes a narrower paid-only arrangement; use the current plan comparison for account access rather than treating that older page as an unlimited entitlement.
Recordings, the Agent and local AI memory
The M-NOTE workflow brings a separate recorder’s audio into MyMemo. The current release notes describe reviewing local recordings, choosing what to add and creating a Recording Memo with transcript, summaries and follow-up questions. Recording minutes and hardware are distinct from ordinary document uploads.
The beta MyMemo Agent works within saved knowledge and a sandboxed workspace to produce outputs such as files and charts. Its prepaid usage is separate from the ordinary subscription allowances. A general chat-message quota should therefore not be used to estimate every Agent action.
OpenMyMemo is another distinct product: an early-stage open-source memory folder running on the user’s computer. Compatible AI applications can share that memory. It needs no MyMemo subscription locally; an optional cloud connector adds web-assistant access with plan-specific relay and queue features. Local storage does not mean a connected external AI never receives the information requested from that folder.
Choose capacity for the actual mix of sources
The current subscription comparison separates messages, documents, links, images, YouTube summaries, audio and collections. A reader mostly saving links has a different usage pattern from a team importing recordings. Free access provides an evaluation route, while higher tiers expand several independent limits.
Annual prices are monthly equivalents charged yearly. Authorized partner lifetime deals are separate arrangements and should be checked against their own entitlement terms. The in-app model selector supplies the currently available options rather than a permanent promise about every named model.
Summary exports are available as PDF or Word. The changelog also describes an account data-export route for taking a copy of memos and files. Decide what needs to remain accessible outside the service before building a large reference library.

Mymemo FAQs
Is an AI Summarizing badge the same as a failed upload?
No. The FAQ says it can indicate queued processing. A Failed status identifies a problem requiring a retry or support investigation.
Does MemoCast reproduce the complete original document?
No. It condenses saved information into an audio review. Consult the original source for exact wording, detailed evidence and qualifications.
Does OpenMyMemo require a paid MyMemo account?
The local open-source project does not. The optional MyMemo Cloud connector has separate plan conditions and is rolling out gradually.
Are MyMemo Agent actions covered by the chat allowance?
The current changelog describes the beta Agent as prepaid pay-as-you-go usage. Its charges are separate from ordinary subscription chat and content quotas.
